There is a tragedy happening in Hong Kong now, and effectively a solidified "oil spill" of trash/plastic washing up on Hong Kong's beaches from the region. These photos are from Cheung Sha Beach on Lantau, but similar ones have been reported in Repulse Bay, Sheko and elsewhere. Report trash hotspots you see on the Global Alert app, so that government officials here can better see what/where this is happening, and how it is impacting the impression people have on the city's beautiful beach assets. Thanks to Tina for the reporting.
